How is finding work in the USA? + Does a more-than-3-months Visa exist?

Maybe this time next two years I'll be visiting the United States, so I'd like to know how is finding a work in the US. Is it hard or easy? In this period, as I can read, it isn't so easy to get a job, as almost everywhere... but, in general? Tell me all you can tell about this topic. And, second question, do you know if it's possible to get a Visa that lasts more than 3 months? And, if so, which are the conditions to get it? Thanks.

  1. You would not be issued a visitors to visa seek employment and if you obtained one by concealing your intent, it would be a violation of status to seek employment. Job seekers are considered to be immigrants not visitors.
  2. You can stay for up to six months if you are a Canadian CItizen. You cannot look for work on a visitor visa. Unless you have an advanced degree in the sciences or engineering no company will sponsor you for immigration. The only thing you can do in your three months, is to find a US citizen to marry you.
