Study in Tafe or university for finding accounting work?

I want to find work as Assistant Accountant. Would it be more practical to study accounting through Tafe or study through university and then take the CPA exams?

1. If you want to be an accountant at a later stage, you would need to go through a university to have proper qualifications. To become a CPA you also need certain amount of work experience after your qualifications.
