What to do after you attend a career fair?
In London there are currently many career fairs, or recruitment events by many companies. Can anyone provide some tips of how to follow up after you attend these events? The ultimate purpose of attending is finding a job; but since so many people turn up at these events, what can you do to stand out?

- Treat it just like a job interview. Write a one-page thank-you letter to anyone who interviewed you, reminding them who you were (they won't remember, so this is your chance to put in a plug about your qualifications!) and mention something that you learned about them during your visit. I would end it with a promise to phone them at such-such time on such-such date, unless their materials specified that you not call. Good luck!
- Actually speak to people and hand them a cheque for £1 with a link to your online CV on it. Guaranteed to work. And surprisingly few people will cash the cheque. Never hand over a paper CVit will end up in the bin.
- where i live most of the companies that show up at the career fairs are the ones nobody wants to work for,the ones who have high staff turnover or some other negative aspect>your better searching on the internet and submitting electrontic resumes.I have no luck with career fairs.
