Should I put an objective statement on my resume, since I am going to a Career Fair tomorrow?
I am interested in advertising, PR, and marketing. I do not want an employer to shut me out bc he thinks I am fixed on only one of these options. Should I just take out my objective statement?

- No, keep it. BUT, rewrite it. Focus on skills, not a job title. Objective: to obtain a position that would allow me to apply my skills in xxxx, xxxx, xxxxx. (retired IBM exec mgr)
- I would keep my objective statement on my resume. Prospective employers want to know what you plan to do as well as that you have a goal in life. If you want to know more about the objective statement and to make sure yours is top-notch, take a look at the site below.
