What information is displayed on business card to be distributed at a Career Fair for job seeker?
want to distribute business card at a career for those potential employers instead of a copy of my resume

- I don't think that's a good idea. I know that you think it'll set you apart from other candidates, and it will, but not in a good way. At a typical career fair, the resumes get put into a pile, which is later reviewed by HR people or hiring managers. They actually do get read in some detail, to determine which candidates should be interviewed. If you just give a business card it'll get lost in the pile of resumes, or worse yet, just be thrown out. Also, there is no way that you can put enough information on something so small as a business card, and what you need to do is give the employers as much info about your skills and abilities as possible. Good luck.
- Full Name Current job title Current Company any special degree you got like CMA CPA CIA CFA.....etc Email Mobile number Telephone number Fax Website
- First, a business card is too easily lost. Second, employers WANT a resume. They want to know where you worked, where you went to school, etc. Likely if you give them a business card, it will very quickly be discarded.
- Do a 2 sided card with your photo and contact info on the front, including email and mobile phone ( and web site if it's helpful and related ) then on the back do a bullet list of your *skills* and areas of expertise. Employers want to know what you can offer them that will make you a productive company asset when you hit the floor running.
- Name, email, phone (top 3 lines, centered) Then maybe 2 columns of 3/4 adjectives or short phrases describing your best skills and talents. Short and sweet, or it won't get read. Good luck!
- Name Surname Address E-mail "Why should they choose you?" answered and maybe some qualifications. I think yours was a great idea but you have too little space to write to many things. Personally I'd have preferred a simple but eye-catching CV. Good luck for your career! :-)
- Good idea to suppliment, but not replace a resume. You may also wish to carry around 1 page 'brag' sheets which are shortened versions of a resume featuring your achievements. but do not ditch the resume. If you DO go the card route, ask to EXHCANGE cards, then you have the potential employer's info and can circumvent the gatekeepers in HR. but as to your question: Name: Specialty: I.E. "Consultant" or "Progrmmer/analyst" or "widget maker" or whatever. Business name: (if applicable) URL for website: (if applicable) Email: Home phone Mobile phone.
