In addition to name, number, email.......should I add the title: student and the name of the college Im attending and/or my address. I have resumes to hand out but was told it is never bad to have some sort of cards available, not just for the career fair, but in case you meet someone in an envirnment where you wouldnt have a resume.

  1. you would be better of making a resume. it looks like you were too lazy to put together one or you have no experience when you give out cards.
  2. You definitely want the following: Name Number Email. College your are attending/graduated from Your Major/Your degree emphasis You could also put your address, but it's not going to be the most convenient way to contact you. You definitely want to put your college and your major... that's your "selling point" because you want a job that mirrors what you've actually studied. With that beings said, student business cards are generally not the way to go, when you are going to career fairs. You aren't actually part of a business, and "advertising" yourself as a student basically means you are unavailable to work (you haven't graduated). You can look at this article, and think about it. http://bbrathwaite.wordpress.com/2008/01/19/business-card-titles-the-dark-truth-about-student-business-cards/ What you REALLY should do is make sure you have a complete resume. You will pass at resumes to possible future employers, and hope they may keep you "in mind" when they have future job openings.
