How do I get a job if I have no experience?
I need money! I have no actual job experience except for volunteering at a library and a gift shop for less than 4yrs. I applied for two jobs but I haven't heard anything yet. Do I have to lie about how much my dad makes or something? I really need money, how am I going to get experience if no one will hire me!?!?!?!? Please help me out.

- looking for a job is tough, especially if it's a long time since you previously did it! I was jobless in recent times, but I uncovered the site in the box below which is very helpful in many ways. By using their methods, in a couple of weeks I soon got myself a job.
- I got my job last week. i had no experience, but i came across as a guy who "cares about his work" as my employer said. Times are tough. it took me 9 months to get an interview (out of 17 places i applied). If you really want a job, you'll just have to turn in an application at every single business you can and hope for the best. Once you get an interview, dress up as nicely as you can and try to come across as some one they find value in, then they'll train you. no experience necessary.
- Start by working at a restaurant for a little while... thats how i started to "build my work experience / resume" ....... then i took that and applied for a job at a fortune 500 company and got a job ... goodluckkk
- Okay, first of all, you need a reality check. The economy is BAD. Applying for 2 jobs isn't going to be enough. You can't jump to "no one will hire me" after two job applications. I have LOADS of experience. I've been in the workforce for several years and I had lots of part-time jobs, internships and volunteer experience in high school and college. But in this economy, it took me MONTHS of applications (I don't even know how many I sent out) before I got a job. Turned out it was my dream job. Anyway, my point is, no, you should not lie about how much your dad makes (I don't even know why you think that would help). You just need to put more effort into your job search. Are you in high school? If so, you need to start small -- apply for internships and more volunteer work. You may need money, but you aren't necessarily going to get it in this economy and in the meantime, you can get experience.
- Lying won't help you with this problem, what are your skills or in what category you usually excel among others? find for a job that will best suit your skills most of the employers are looking for an employee with a good skills
