How do I get a job, if I've never had one?

I'm 18 and I've never had a legit job. Now that I'm looking for one I've noticed the importance of resumes. Its almost embarrassing for me to apply without experience on my resume. Will places hire me without prior work experience? If so, what are examples of such places? Will volunteer experience help my resume? How do i get a job???

1. put down volunteer work and any informal jobs you had - babysitting etc. they can't fault you for not having a job before. cite school clubs, give references. make sure to say you're willing to learn.
