Job Fair Atlanta

Are you supposed to bring cover letters to a career fair?

My school does not release a list of the companies coming to the fair and since I don't know what companies will be at the career fair I have no way of addressing cover letters to the individuals there. Is it acceptable to just give a copy of my resume and references to each employer I visit at the fair?

  1. A cover letter is meant to be written to highlight your particular skills as they pertain to a specific job. As you say, you don't know what specific companies will be there much less the particular job openings they have, so cover letters aren't really even possible to write. Just bring your resume to hand out.
  2. I would just get a standard application.Fill it out and make copies of it. Give those out..No one wants to read a resume'.I imagine you simply write your name on each companies clipboard with a number.to sign up.
  3. No, just resumes and personal business cards if you have them.
