What steps do you take finding work?

I think I must be doing something wrong because nobody has hired me. Please give me a step-by-step process of how to find work at a good company?

  2. you don't need to find a job. just pray and pray really hard. im sure god has a plan for you.
  3. 1: Have a good resume' 2: send it to many potential employers 3: Go see them personally 4: wait for an interview 5: go to the interview
  4. Have a good resume and hand it to them in person-try to be clean and look your best-be freindly and smile alot.
  5. Here's what I do and have been very successful even in this bad economy.. 1. Create a good resume 2. create and post resume on Monster, Career Builder 3. Depending on the type of work your looking for you can sometimes go through head hunter sites. Try these if your into engineering or computer networking type jobs. Tac World Wide Ideal Technical
  6. It's not necessarily something YOU are doing wrong. It's a tough economy, and almost nobody is hiring.
  7. 1) On your resume NEVER, EVER use the generic 'To whom it may concern' or 'Gentlemen' when a woman will be reading it or 'Madam' when a man will be reading it. So how do you know who will be reading it? 2) RESEARCH the company(s) you wish to apply at. 3) Send your resume to the correct person (the person who will be reading it). 4) If and When you get the interview, dress appropriately. Do not wear a suit and tie if you are applying for a construction job and vice vesa. Look neat in your appearance. Do not wear much, if any, cologne or perfume, and do not dress as if you are going out to the club either. 5) During the interview do not talk to much (but do not sit there like a bump on a log either). Answer each question as best as you can and be truthful, warm and personable, and confident. 6) When applying for a job, apply for the position that you know that you are qualified for, and Know what (at that company) the deities are and what the pay scale is. NEVER go in blind! (you can find all of this out when you do your research)
