to those who complain about having no health care ----get a friggin' job or go to an ER?
Fact: every single one of my friends is gainfully employed (I do not hang out with moochers, libs or other forms of deadbeats) and every single one of them has health insurance. Why? Because they all have JOBS, they all WORK for a living. Do you understand this concept, libs, or are you too busy smoking dope in your parents' basement and doing nothing? Get a job = get health insurance. I walked by two fast-food restaurants and a temporary manual labor center and they were hiring, so don't give me nonsense about lack of jobs. 2. No one is turned away from an ER for lack of money or insurance. If you have cancer or aids or MS or parkinsons or emphysema, you will not be turned away no matter what, so you can always get treatment in America. Anyone else sick of libby lies regarding our healthcare system? Sarah Palin 2012: let's take America back from the Marxist socialists who want to ruin it!

- I agree. Most people who don't have healthcare CHOOSE not to have it. Many of the uninsured COULD qualify for Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP and FAMIS but do not bother applying. Why not??
- the stupid healthcare bill obama passed is going to fuck us over anyway now we will have to wait in line at the er because so many ppl will be there for stupid things drug addicts trying to get drugs and ppl just coughing because they think they got some serious disease but its ok healthcares free might as well be safe then sorry yeah stick it up your ass is what i say
- Many people have jobs but get no insurance thanks to Repub/Neocon deregulation these last 30 years. About the only people getting it any more are Union workers, whom you guys hate. And the problem with going to the ER is that they inflate the bill by 10 times, and you can end up being destroyed by even a normal illness and lose your house and everything else, OR the public gets stuck with the inflated bill - even worse.
- Not only that, there are high risk pools for people who have pre-existing conditions, public health facilities, and free clinics. The ironic thing is, now, ER's will be even WORSE than they are now, and good luck at your doctor's office. future: You're not going to lose your house over a few thousand, and you can finance it. YOU fail.
- 1. The insurance you can get at low paying jobs are a joke. The one my husband's job offers is $600 a month, $1500 deductible... per person. $50 co-pay on doctor visits $25/50 co-pays on prescriptions. One third of our income gone before we even see a doctor.... hell by the time we paid for the premiums we wouldn't have the money left to cover a co-pay. 2. No they don't turn you away ... they just leave you sitting in the waiting room for hours. ERs were never designed to take care of routine medical problems they are for EMERGENCIES. All those medical problems you listed are critical yes... but they are not emergencies. And the general public is already paying for those visits anyway. My last trip to the ER was for my son to get stitches in his leg after he fell... a no-brainer right? We sat in the ER for 4 hours in an EMPTY waiting room. We were literally the only people there and I brought the checkbook. None of the above is a lie. add - in most states Medicaid does NOT cover adults. Mass. is the only state I know that covers adults.
- Seriously Ted. You really should educate yourself before posting nonsense like this. The whole point of the Healtcare bill is to prevent the uninsured from being a burden on those of us who do have health insurance. It is designed to provide more affordable options to families and individuals who simply cannot afford the high cost of healh care. Not all employers offer health care. Get a job = get health insurance. Oh really? Do you realize that you have to be a FULL TIME employee to be eligible for benefits. Do you know how many companies are hiring but giving just under 40 hours so they do not have to offer benefits. Not everyone works for a major corporation either. Remember, you repubs are always reminding us that the majority of jobs are created by small businesses? Of those small businesses who do offer a policy, most of them are catastrophic policies, for things like cancer, not routine visits to a doctor/dentist. Basically worthless unless you are on your death bed. And mentioning Sarah Palin and a job is as ridiculous as the rest of your comment. She doesn't have a job. She quit the governership, remember? Now she runs around the country charging worshipers like you to stand next to her so you can then pay her for a photo or autograph. She also doesn't have the sense to stop having children when she is too damn old to. Every woman with a brain knows that the chances of having a down's syndrome baby get higher and higher for every year past 35 that you give birth. Oh and I love the way Ms. Family Values pawns that kid off on her relatives so she can run around and give people like you a rise. Health Reform is yesterday's news. So is Obama's birth certificate. Why don't you rant about something new? Something we haven't already talked about for the last 18 months.
