How to tell my parents I want to get a sports bike?

I really want to get one cause my brother in law has one and they are really fun. I have a job and I already have a car so what should I say to them? Thanks.

  1. 1. go up to parents 2. say "I would like to get a sports bike" why do people ask this stuff?
  2. you say "mom, dad, im buying a sports bike. see ya at dinner!"
  3. It should go like this. "Hey mom" "Yes honey" " I want a bike" "No" the end
  4. Ask them for a TV
  5. ....................
  6. If you have a job then buy it yourself.
  7. you should put this in the motorcycle section because you wont get much help here first off, they are very dangerous so their hesitation will be justified. in the UK bikes account for 2% of all traffic but 27% of all accidents. the average rider her is 44 years old.... because all the young ones are all killed off that being said.... I am fanatical about bikes when i told my parents i wanted one at 17 they kicked me out of the house, which lasted for three months. the money that they had set aside to get me a car/insurance etc was withdrawn and i had to get a job to finance it. after 3 months of realising i was serious they asked me to come back but still absolutely hate it 7 years later my mum has never seen me ride it because she just cant watch if you are an idiot/chav/boy racer then this will all fall on deaf ears because you'll be a smudge on the road but if you can trust yourself to ride one then go for it note at 17 my first bike was a 15 year old cbr 600 that cost £1000 ($1500) and my insurance (third party, the lowest) was £1400 ($2100). Bikes are very expensive and so is the maintenence tyres, chain etc and quality clothing.
