Would I be able to get a nursing job in a hospital with an associates degree?

I am currently attending a 4 year university but it is apparent i am not able to afford this school anymore. I've decided to do nursing and was looking at getting an associates degree then eventually getting a higher degree once i have a job and can afford it. I would love to work in a hospital. Would I be able to get a job in a hospital with just an associates degree or would i have to get a BSN? Thanks in advance :)

  1. You can get an LPN (two year degree) and be hired by a hospital. The pay is lower, but you can get in. If you get on with a good hospital and work hard, they might even help you pay for getting your BSN later.
  2. You'd still be able to get a job at most places. But some hospitals will only hire nurses with BSN degrees now. You can always go back for that later on. There are RN-to-BSN bridge programs.
