It might be possible, but it's very difficult and almost impossible nowadays. A well-paying job means that it's most likely a highly skilled occupation. All major developed nations have restricted who should get jobs which are scarce nowadays. Therefore, if a job is available the government restricts employers to seek out Canadian citizens first, and only if the job cannot be filled by a Canadian then they may look for foreigners.
