Okay so im 16 and i can't seem to find a job any where i have looked all summer and still havent found a thing. It's upsetting to see all my friends getting jobs just after a short while and i can't seem to get anything! it is just extremely frustrating. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? please!!!

  1. go to your local mall and bring like 30 copies of resumes with u and apply everywhere (grocery stores, food, some clothing stores..w.e) also try local stores or grocery stores. The key is to apply to as many places as possible!! you will eventually get a job. Thats what i did and i had to apply to like 30 diff places..good luck.
  2. You can try working online. It wont make you rich but it can get you a bit of extra pocket cash. Try opinionoutpost.com. You can take normal surveys which pay $2.00-5.00 each, and occasionaly receive an invitation to a research project where you can get an average of $200 for filling out information about things you do everyday (For example, when I was in a research project for beverages, then mailed me a PDA which I used to record all the beverages I drank for two weeks, then mailed back for a $250 incentive.) They're the best survey site ive ever worked with. I was able to get myself an ipod nano and a new phone last Christmas with the money I earned with them for only working for a year. PS. There are a few other sites which Ive had success with, like surveyhead.com, and surveysavvy.com, but you should look into product testing sites like bzzagent.com. You sign up under them and they'll send you products and all they ask in return is that you spread the word about your experience with their product. I also found a new site called Crowdtap thats like bzzagent, but you answer daily polls and participate in discussions to earn cash and chances to try new products. Its really unique and different from a lot of other sites ive tried and seem legit. Try it and im sure you'll like it. http://crowdtap.com/invitations/7b29ceee7f19f72d482e285dc044b7b4/home
  3. babysitting and pet sitting for neighbors and family friends is a start you'll be stuck with fast food mostly, how you get hired you fill out and application neatly you keep it unwrinkled or folded turn it in to a manager. preferably the hiring manager. then you come in morning or what ever time the hiring manager (if the hiring manger isn't there any manager works) is in. ask to check up on your application. do this everyday and i mean everyday. when they hire they will call you for an interview. dress nice for the interview, no wild hair makeup clothing piercings ect.be polite have good grammar sit straight answer questions promptly (your parents can ask you some fake questions to help you prepare for a interview just ask for their help) after your interview if the did not hire you right away keep checking upon your application everyday until you get hired. if you get interviewed more than once in helps to have a different nice outfit everyday. for fast food it also helps to have your food handlers licence before getting hired. the more places you apply and check on daily the more likely you will to get hired soon.
  4. just apply apply and apply. i had no luck for ages until a training opportunity came up. For the time being i went for voluntary work , which is easy to get into and gives you the experience, therefore increases your chances of getting employed . and it shows the type of person you are and looks good on your CV. ..just keep your options open and stay up to date
