Move to UP of Michigan without a job contract?

Currently been offered a job in the Upper peninsula of michigan, about 400 miles away. I am going to work as a EMS paramedic. However I have their word only they are going to give me a job, should I get a written contract.?

1. I doubt they'll give you a written contract, I wouldn't worry too much about it though, there are usually more jobs then Paramedics anyways.
